A chain of four arched buildings, located in the heart of Tbilisi between the "Rooms" hotel and the "Rustaveli" metro station, has long been in need of rehabilitation. These buildings connect to the pedestrian sidewalk and form a tunnel-like passage. Under the initiative of the Tbilisi Development Fund, the facades of the buildings will be restored, and the partially damaged roofs will be repaired. It is important to note that the building is designated as a cultural heritage monument. Therefore, all participants in the tender are required to familiarize themselves with its status and relevant regulations.
When conducting assessments, we carefully examine exterior ornaments, cornices, bas-reliefs, rustications, capitals, railings, and other local damages. According to the technical specifications, the project should be developed with consideration for both immovable cultural heritage monuments and buildings with contextual significance (non-monuments).
The project should aim to create a unified and organized appearance for the worn-out and haphazardly placed engineering systems on the façade, such as external air conditioning units, heating boilers, ventilation systems, chimney pipes, meters, and other equipment, ensuring their proper arrangement and integration.
Megawatt was selected as the winner of the competition.
