Georgian State National Academic Ensemble Erisioni
The dominant architectural trends of the 1970s and 1980s are most clearly reflected in public buildings of that era.
One such building is the former "Doctors' House" located on Khetagurov Street in Tbilisi, which now houses the state folk ensemble "Erisioni."
The building's façade is coated with golden enamel, while the massive, solid walls are accentuated by semicircular panels.
To preserve the signature characteristics of the past era, we kept the exterior of the existing building unchanged. Only the old windows and stained glass were replaced with new ones that closely resemble the original design.
The ensemble's rehearsal halls and administrative offices are located in the project building.
We were honored to oversee the creation of the ensemble's modern residence, housed in a building dating back to the nineteenth century, where the legacy of ancient ancestors will be passed on to future generations. Inspired by the building's cultural significance, we approached the preparation of the project documentation for its complete rehabilitation with great care and responsibility.
Our company won the state competition.
