Social Houses in Kobuleti

Due to global warming, scientists predict that natural disasters will become more frequent in the coming years, leading to a rise in the number of eco-migrants.

Internal migration is also an irreversible process in Georgia. Due to the harsh climate and frequent natural disasters, the indigenous population of the highland regions continues to be forced to leave their ancestral villages.

A particularly high-risk area is mountainous Adjara, from which tens of thousands of people have been relocated. However, resettlement has not provided a lasting solution to the problem. Many years ago, families displaced from their homes faced even worse living conditions, prompting many to return despite the risks to their lives.

In 2022, the Adjara government provided housing for around 200 families displaced from disaster-prone areas by renting them homes. To ensure long-term accommodation, plans were made to construct social housing for these families.

Two ten-story, 120-apartment buildings were constructed on a designated plot of land in the Gelauri district of Kobuleti. The total cost of the project was 23,484,000 GEL.

Our company contributed to the implementation of the social project by handling the planning and cost accounting tasks.
